Man on the Hill
"A show like none other."
Man on the hill is a one-man, two-act fable-opus. Often referred to as a one man rock opera, this musical performace combines a captivating story with music, songs, humor, and audience participation. A must see.
"Best solo performance I have ever seen."
Enjoy a variety of musical styles. From ballads to rock and smooth jazz to country, your ears will never tire of the cascade of sounds and song throughout the night.
"Kept me wondering right to the very end"
Step into the world of an old man's life as he walks you through his loves, loses, hardships, victories, and celebrations. Each turning point or major event gets reflected in the next song. Thoughtful and intriguing.
"Very relatable. Really touched my heart."
Every part of the story is relatable and touching. Let yourself go and get emmersed in his world. Your heart will be warmed and your soul will be touched.
About The Show:
It's a "fable-opus" (aka, a one-man rock opera.)
A narrated story augmented with songs.
Entertaining and heartwarming.
The main character is an old man sitting in his living room reflecting back on his life while you sit with him next to the fireplace. As he shares his stories, each major event or turning point is punctuated with a song. Forever in a quest for love and living a simple life, he struggles with heartbreak, finds companionship with a dog, tries to find his place in a discordant society, meets his soul mate, and retires on a hillside near the ocean.
While the story is filled with twists and turns, the music is a journey as well. It's a delightful mix of folk, rock, jazz, country, and heartwarming ballads. Your ears, your mind, and your heart will be enriched when you treat yourself to seeing "The Man on the Hill."
Post Covid-19 Bookings:
Unfortunately, Covid-19 brought this tour to an abrupt stop. Just one show in February before everything got cancelled. :(
My plans for 2021 is to perform this show for free to any churches or non-profit organizations that have been hit hard financially with the Covid-19 crisis. As soon as people can start gathering in public places once again, using "Man on the Hill" as a fund raising is a great way to get back on your feet.
If you know of anywhere that might be interested in hosting this one-man, two-act production, please get in touch. This show comes complete with lights, sound, and props so the venue does not have to provide anyting except electricithy and a safe environment for people to enjoy the show.
